1930’s Morning or Afternoon Frock PDF Knitting Pattern

49 in stock

Another chic and simple design from the late 1930’s.
It has cute short sleeves, a pert little collar and the
waistline has a smocked effect that you work
in afterwards.

It’s a more complicated dress to knit as it’s worked
on a circular needle for the main part and two needles
for the sleeves and collar. So experience knitting on a
circular needle would be ideal, but if you really love
this frock, don’t let that stop you having a go, there’s
always a first time for everything.

The yarn is Jaeger Super fine Scotch 3 ply fingering.
You will need a pair of No. 9 ( 3.75) and 12 (2.75)
needles and a No. 9 (3.75) circular needle

You’ll need approx 16oz (approx 455g) depending
on the yarn you decide to use, always buy more when
knitting vintage garments as the original yarn ball
length is unknown.

TENSION 15 sts. to two inches in width and 11 rows
to one inch in depth.

Size: Length from shoulder at armhole edge 41.5
inches. Width all round under the arms 33 inches,
stretching to fit. 34 inch Bust. Length of sleeve seam
5 inches including cuff.

The pattern comes as one easy to download
