Description
This 1930’s Jaunty little cap is a distinct novelty
because it’s fashioned like a beret, with a triangular
top instead of round. The knitting is worked in a
diagonal ribbing, which matches the scarf,
instructions included. The yarn mentioned is
Artello Twist knitting yarn on No. 9 and 11 needles.
Finished with a No. 13 crochet hook.
I can find no references for this vintage yarn so my
best guess would be a 4 ply but make a tension
square before you start, just to make sure.
TENSION: Worked over pattern is approx 6 sts.
to one inch
The cap is 6 inches deep will fit a head measurement
of 20-22 inches. The scarf is 44 inches long and
5.5 inches wide.
The needles and hooks are old U.K sizes so I have
included a conversion chart TO HELP
The pattern comes as just one easy to download
and print PDF
