Description
A really lovely example of a 1930’s halter neck,
trunk leg bathing suit.
The original used yarn was Baldwin and Walker’s
Ladyship ‘Holiday’ Wool. I can find no references
to this yarn so going on needle size and tension
it was probably a 3 or 4 ply yarn. This is just my
opinion, please check yourself by working a
tension square in some oddments of 3 or 4 ply
before buying any yarn.
You will need approx 10oz (285g) in total 6oz (171g)
in cream and 4oz (114g) in blue. Pair each of No. 11
(3.00mm) and No. 12 (2.75mm) needles
Tension: about 8 sts. to 1 inch
Measurements to fit Bust 34ins.
The needles are old sizes so I have included a
conversion chart to help
The pattern comes as one easy to download
and print PDF
